Fall Festival

At our church every September there is a fall festival with an auction, carnival games & food. It is a primo event within our family & Lilee & Samuel both talk NON STOP about it in the weeks leading up to it! Well, last weekend it was it & it was on!!!! My kids woke up talking about the festival & we still had to wait until 4pm church because the festival is after church!! I tried to get there picture before the festival of the excitement & this is what I caught & I LOVE it! Both of them belly laughing at the excitement....

And a blast was had by all!!!! The kids won tons of games & prizes so I took their picture with them! Samuel surprised the heck out of me & won most every game he played! Lilee had to go back a few times, but she pulled it out for the team!!!

Better late than never....

Well, life was hectic this week so I never got around to posting about our wonderful lazy Labor Day weekend!! It was so nice it felt like a mini vacation....we just hung out with each other & enjoyed the days off!!! We had time for Lego building in our pj's...

And cursive writing......

We even got to squeeze in a playdate.....

What Lilee has been up to...

Well, we are still loving school at this point, which is good...the getting up in the morning is getting a little tougher, she is wanting to stay up & play in her bed instead of going to sleep!! Here is what she is thinking about 2nd grade...

And she has started her extra curricular activities....no more soccer for her...this is what she chose this year... She is in LOVE with gymnastics...she is doing really well & that is probably the only picture I will have of her actually because they don't allow photography in the gym!!!

Tennis is all new, but she loved her first lesson, she actually made contact with the ball & was thrilled the rest of the evening! The only drawback in her words is "I get too hot on the court", but eventually it will cool off a little & she will be fine!!!

That is what is going on in this house at the moment....Samuel is doing soccer this year & he starts next week!! Games start the weekend after Labor Day! So life is busy, but we are enjoying it!

What Samuel thinks.....

After two weeks of Kindergarten this is what my little man thinks...

First day of school!

Well, the day came & went & we have started school!!! Both Lilee & Samuel were excited to start & woke up nice & early this morning with no problems!! I was planning to walk Samuel into school the first day because he has no clue where to go, Lilee on the other hand wanted no help & she wanted to walk in herself, thank you very much. Well, as we are walking into school with school supplies in hand & with the thousands (it seemed) of people Lilee takes one look around and pretty much DEMANDS that I walk her in too!! So, we all walk Samuel to his room, get him settled & he looks up at me and asks "are you coming back to get me?" Awwww.....well, I almost lost it!!! My big boy sitting at his own desk, looking so old!!! After assuring him I would be back, we left and went to Lilee's room. Once she was in there she hung up her backpack like a pro & found her desk & she was settled and ready for me to leave. I think she was just needing a little Mama & I was happy to give it to her!!

Can't believe it!!!

I can NOT believe school is starting next week!!! Summer just flew by, but the kids are so excited to start!! Samuel is really excited because he is in "big boy" school!! They wanted me to take their pictures with their supplies...so I give you..their supplies...
