Happy New Year! Today is the start of Chinese New Year.

For those that don't know here is a little about it: Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. New Year festivities traditionally start on the first day of the month and continue until the fifteenth, when the moon is brightest.
2008 is the year of the Rat (nice huh) Legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal's year would have some of that animal's personality. Those born in rat years tend to be leaders, pioneers, and conquerors. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking.

I had some pages for Lilee to color today for Chinese New Year & she wanted to share it with you!

Lilee loves this fan. We actually got this in Chongqing. She was trying to fan herself & she just thought that was hilarious

Lilee picked out her hair bow for these pictures! She wore this dress in 2006 for her Christmas picture...yes, hard to believe but it still fits her

Happy New Year everyone!
