We hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend! If you can believe it I haven't been taking pictures lately. I have just felt in a slump, but over the weekend I did finally take some pictures, we have been spending a lot of time at my parents house as well as my sisters & having such a great time!

We (I mean) She did it!!!

Lilee is officially a big girl now! She has moved to her big girl bed!!! Can you believe it?

I can't either. In my defense, she had NEVER tried to get out & she LOVED her crib so much, & I loved it too! I remember going in her room before she was even here & just sitting in there looking at the crib, just imagining her in it. Then, when we came home, putting her in there that first night & still going in her room & just staring at her! But, I realize she is growing taller & yes...she did turn three. So, Hubby & I decided that after she was better from her tonsils that we would take the plunge!

The fact is I love her big girl bed, actually it was my big girl bed. I slept in that bed all the way through high school & even on the night before my wedding! I think it is so neat that I have now passed it down to my daughter!

She knew it was coming because I had been refinishing her bed & she watched me sanding it down then repainting it & we would talk about her big girl bed & she was excited. Then, the other day we actually purchased her mattresses instead of just going & looking at them. We also let her pickout her very own sheets! We haven't found the perfect quilt for the bed yet, but one step at a time...

This morning she was just talking away on her monitor & I went in there & the first thing she said was "Mommy, I'm a big girl".......Yes you are Monkey, yes you are...

Merry*Christmas Lilee!

We finally used her gift certificate from Bu*ild-a-Bear! Lilee is so funny when I asked her what she wanted to name her bunny, she thought for a minute & then said "Ka-Chow"...from the movie C*ars. Of course C*ars is her cousins Zaiah's FAVORITE movie, so in honor of him...I give you.....Ka*Chow....

Sorry about the long delay in posting, things have finally seemed to be getting back to normal, whatever that is right :D

I can now say Lilee is 100% percent better, however she still sounds like Mi*nnie M0use on helium!

I think we are rounding the corner. Today she almost seemed to be back to herself. Of course her voice still sounds funny & I'm not sure if it will stay like this or not, they said maybe up to a month or maybe permanently it could be changed. It is sort of funny, she sounds like Minnie Mouse.

Lilee is still having trouble during the night. We think when her mouth gets dry it wakes her up (we are using a cool mist humidifier) She will cough & start to cry (which is better than the SCREAM she had last week), so we go in there & give her her pain meds & that helps! We are no longer giving her the pain meds during the day just regular Tylen0l & we just started that yesterday! I know she is on the upswing, but I wish it would swing a littler faster :D Lauren said "Remember every day is another day closer to feeling back to 100%" Thank you for that....I needed it!

On another note...My mother-in-law & niece Amber (her sister had Volleyball camp) came this week to visit with Lilee while we had a LOT going on! I truly can't thank them enough, and I hope they BOTH realize what a WONDERFUL BLESSING they are! They helped so much this week, especially me! My father had a VERY big operation (Wednesday's are QUICKLY becoming my most HATED day) & with them being here I was able to focus on my Mom & Dad & I was able to be at the hospital with my family & not have to worry about a thing! Thank you Rita & Amber (also my sister-in-law & father-in-law for "allowing" them to come...hahahahahaha), I will never be able to express how much that meant to Chuck & I, oh & of course Princess Lilee!
