2 years ago....February 28th, 2006

Wow....

I can't even believe it has been two years since we saw our sweet daughters face. Time slips so quickly away. I still remember that day like it was yesterday...I had stayed home from work because we KNEW we were getting the call that day! The phone rang at 10am & I jumped up (Chuck claims to have never seen me move that fast) & ran to the phone...only to discover it was NOT CCAI! I felt so deflated. Then TWO LONG HOURS LATER at 12:14pm....***(you will want to mute the song at the bottom of the page first)**



When I watched this video I can honestly say......IT FELT LIKE YESTERDAY! I remember everything about that day & I hope to never forget it!


Lilee is such a joy that I can't explain! I wish that I was a great writer & I could put it down in such glowing words, but words fail me. How is it possible for me to transform the feelings that this little fiesty girl gives me daily.


All I can really think to say is...I'm the lucky one!

Post Valentine's Day

I hate to admit it, but I was spoiled! We were not supposed to celebrate on Thursday, we were waiting till Friday since Chuck was off & I get off at noon on Friday's. But Chuck out did himself! When I got to work these were waiting for me.... Pink is my favorite color!

Then I came home from work & I had THESE waiting for me.... I will admit that flowers are sooooo over priced this time of year, but honestly I LOVED them!!!


Lilee had a great day too. When she got up from her nap she saw this when she came downstairs (it's from her Daddy)...


Then we went to the kitchen to make a surprise for Daddy, She thinks icing the cupcakes is fun

On Friday, I actually suprised Chuck & took the morning off so I could fix him breakfast in bed (I don't think I have EVER done that!) I turned the clock back just in case he would wake up & wonder why Lilee wasn't up yet & then I shut our bedroom door so he couldn't hear us in the kitchen! I told him I was going to post the picture on the blog, as you can tell from the picture....I don't think he believed me!!!

On Febrauary 14th, 1998 my life forever changed, I married the man of my dreams


10 years ago I could never have imagined what was ahead for us! Each step bringing us closer & closer together. I know that there is much more in our future & I can't wait to share it with you!! You are my best friend & I thank God daily that you are mine! Thank you for being the husband, friend, provider & father that you are! Happy Valentine's Day & Happy 10year anniversary! I love you!

Under the weather

Well, it happened........strep throat! Our poor baby. This is her first time having it. The weird thing is you would never know that she is sick. She doesn't have a fever, she is sleeping & eating well. But, on Saturday she was talking to me & she sounded a little funny, so I asked her if I could look in her throat & sure enough her poor little tonsils were so swollen. So, we went to the doctor on Monday & she is on medicine. The good thing though....stickers!!! I had given her two in the doctor's office because she was such a good girl & then one of the nurses gave her two!

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Happy New Year! Today is the start of Chinese New Year.
For those that don't know here is a little about it: Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. New Year festivities traditionally start on the first day of the month and continue until the fifteenth, when the moon is brightest.
2008 is the year of the Rat (nice huh) Legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal's year would have some of that animal's personality. Those born in rat years tend to be leaders, pioneers, and conquerors. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking. I had some pages for Lilee to color today for Chinese New Year & she wanted to share it with you!
Lilee loves this fan. We actually got this in Chongqing. She was trying to fan herself & she just thought that was hilarious
